For punching a hotel clerk straight in the face, Matthew Newton gets arrested again in US. According to reports, he even ran after the said clerk after swinging a punch.

As per the report of the Miami Police, Newton said he got mad after the clerk spat on his face, but the CCTV records did not show anything similar. It can be recalled that it has been just a week when he was also arrested for trespassing a bar and 'resisting arrest.'

In the current incident, a video was shown as proof on how aggressive the actor has been to the clerk. The report stated that he was mad right after his call was cut off. He then went right behind the front desk counter and punched the clerk. The clerk did not do anything to retaliate.

This led to Newton being locked up again with charges. He stayed only for eight hours inside the jail after a screenwriter who is also his friend settle a $2500 bond for him.

He is set to face his current battery charges by May 11 and his past charges by May 15. According to his Aussie lawyer, Newton is a bipolar sufferer who needs a lot of support and treatment. Newton also has another lawyer based in Miami.
