Majority of the websites conclude that “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” is the best entry in the series so far. One of its strong points is the setting of the game itself. Most of the hours playing in the game will be spent exploring the vast and near-barren desert seen in multiple gameplay videos of the game. Many reviewers note that even though the desert isn’t as action-packed as certain areas, there is a certain charm to it that gives the game a better sense of realism.
So far, only the single-player experience of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” has been tested. Players have high hopes for the competitive multiplayer modes especially now that Konami has confirmed that the Forward Operating Base, or FOB, will not be locked by a paywall.
In other "Metal Gear" news, Kotaku reports that Australian retailer JB Hi-Fi has added Hideo Kojima’s name to the game through the use of a simple signage stating, “A Hideo Kojima Game.” Konami recently removed Kojima’s name from the cover due to internal conflicts.
