Miami’s Real Hannibal Lecter Killed: Top 5 Cannibal Films [VIDEOS]
An unidentified man allegedly eating another man's face was shot and killed by Miami, Florida police last Saturday.
The police officers were left with no choice but to kill a naked man having a sumptuous meal including another man's eyeballs, nose and other parts of the face.
The sight was so gruesome that it could be a scene from Thomas Harris' psychological thriller trilogy.
According to the reports, a truck driver saw the man and tried to stop him by speaking at his loudspeaker. The man remained undisturbed when a police officer told him to stop what he was doing. He growled at the officer and munched his victim's nose and eyeballs. This prompted the responding officer to shot him.
Surprisingly, the victim was still alive and was brought to the hospital after receiving critical injuries. Investigators speculated that the victim is a homeless person when the crazed man approached and start attacking him.

The movie is based on Thomas Harris' second book about psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter who offered his help to FBI-in-training Clarice Starling in catching a serial killer known as "Bufallo Bill". Hannibal Lecter is a serial killer as well famous for his alias "Hannibal the Cannibal." In the movie, Dr. Lecter bites of the cheeks of one of the police officers when he tried to escape the prison.
2. Ravenous
The story took place during the Mexican-American War in 1840s. A coward soldier was punished and sent to a remote campsite. However, a wolf in sheep's clothing appeared when their party got lost in the woods. It turned out that the man who tried to help the whole party was a cannibal. The main character escaped and made it back to the fort where his comrades are. To his horror, the man in the woods was there and he kills the officers one by one.
3. Cannibal Holocaust
The oldest and most controversial cannibal film. The film was banned and censored in some countries.
4. Red Dragon
The first novel of the Harris' trilogy that started it all. A gifted FBI agent came out of retirement after experiencing trauma in capturing Dr. Hannibal Lecter. His goal is to catch a new serial killer known as "The Tooth Fairy" with the aid of Hannibal.
5. Eaten Alive
Although the cannibalism in this film is very subtle, the idea that the film implies made it rank. The gore film is filled with humans and crocodiles killing people.
