Michelle Rodriguez Shares Paul Walker's Death Left Her Questioning Own Existence And Doing Crazy Things To Feel Alive
Michelle Rodriguez spilled her feelings over her friend and co-star Paul Walker’s death. The “Furious 7” star shared that she had to push herself and get into all sorts of adrenaline-pumping activities to feel alive. The death of her dear friend left her questioning her own existence.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the “Fast and Furious” actress shared that a lot of things she did the previous year was the consequence of feeling lost after Walker died at 40 years old. Rodriguez now admits that she would not have done half of the things she did last year if she was in the “right mind.” She said she went “pretty crazy” and on a “bit of a binge” when it comes to sex and relationships. She travelled a lot too, apart from being linked to famous people one after another, such as model Cara Delevingne, Zac Efron and Justin Bieber.
The actress added that after Walker’s death, she tried to ignore everything that she was feeling. “I could see Paul once every two years and just know there was another human on the planet who’s deep like me, who loves like that. When that disappears, you wonder, ‘Wait a minute, what do I hold on to?’” she explained. She said she felt like there was nothing tethering her anymore to existence. She started asking questions like what she is doing here in this world and why Walker left her.
Walker died in a car crash in November 2013, when he already completed around 85 percent of his scenes for the seventh installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise. The late actor’s Caleb and Cody, who both have striking resemblances to Paul agreed to stand in their brother’s final scenes. Filmmaker Wan had to make sure the whole thing comes off well. Now that shooting and piecing the movie is done and over with, cast members are said to be happy with how the movie’s ending turned out to be a fitting tribute to Paul. During an interview with Today, Jordana Brewster and Vin Diesel both said the ending is precious and beautiful. They are also happy that fans would be able to witness it.
