Microsoft Band - Find Out When It Will Be Available Again
The immensely popular Microsoft Band was launched in the U.S. at the end of October with a price tag of $199. By late November, the smartwatch cum fitness band from Microsoft is completely sold out and was no longer available for purchase on the internet. Even retail outlets of Microsoft Stores had sold out the Microsoft Band. Fresh news indicates that the smart band will be available for purchase in early 2015.
At the bottom of the Microsoft Band page on Microsoft Store, it states that interested buyers will have to check the availability in 2015. It also suggests that more details on its availability can be checked by visiting a local Microsoft Store outlet. As of this writing, all the three editions of the Microsoft Band namely, small, medium and large are unavailable for purchase.
The "Email me when available" button on the page instructs buyers to enter their email address so that Microsoft can notify them when the new Microsoft Band stocks arrive. Windows Central suggests its readers to visit local Microsoft Store outlets to check whether if they have any in stock.
Citing previous rumours, PhoneArena claims that Microsoft had only manufactured 5000 units before putting the Microsoft Band on sale. This could be the probable reason behind the quick sell out of the fitness band. However, in November, Microsoft denied that stating that it sold number of Bands than the units that were suggested to date. PhoneArena also adds on to the fact that the Microsoft Band will be made available by early 2015.
Microsoft Band is a fitness band cum smartwatch that comes with numerous features like a heart rate monitor, UV monitor, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, 100 mAh batteries that can produce up to 48 hours of battery life. Users can make use of the Cortana voice-assistant by pairing the Band with a Windows Phone 8.1 device. It also supports other mobile platforms like iOS and Android. By pairing it with a smartphone, users can check text messages, view notifications and see who is calling on its display.
