Microsoft Believes ‘Nokia Lumia 635’ Offers Better Deal Than The Pricey Apple iPhone
The Nokia Lumia 635 was released way back in June, but why is this handset making news now? Well, Microsoft says the Lumia 635 offers a relatively better deal when compared to Apple iPhones. Not to forget, this Lumia handset is one of the inexpensive phones that can still be purchased in the U.S. and elsewhere.
Apparently, the Twitter account pertaining to "Nokia USA" posted a picture showing the Lumia 635 alongside a competitor's mobile phone with a price tag of $700. Even thought Microsoft was not explicit in pointing the device name, it was very evident that the company is pointing to none-other-than the latest Apple iPhone, says Phone Arena.
The idea behind the tweet is that the Lumia 635 will set the buyers back by a meagre $100. However, upon purchasing Microsoft's umpteen accessory options like the Nokia Lumia Tag, portable Wireless Speaker and portable US charger, among others will set the buyers back by an amount lesser than Apple's iPhone 6. If this is not compelling enough to purchase the Lumia handset, potential buyers will also get several Xbox games and Microsoft Office Mobile with no extra charge.
Microsoft posted the attached tweet by pitting the Lumia 635 against the iPhone and put forth the following question "Can you tell us which is the better deal? ;)." Just in case readers missed it, there is a cheeky wink at the end of the question.
Although, Apple fans are going to ridicule this tweet as much they can, the bottom line is Lumia 635 does offer a good deal, but spec-wise the iPhone is incomparable. On the other hand, this handset cannot be compared to Android devices either. For starters, this Lumia handset comes with 512 MB of RAM. However, in reality, the Android-based handsets are in neck-and-neck fight with Apple iOS devices. But then, the ones who would like to buy a handset with modest specs and a price tag that would not cost an arm and a leg can opt for the ever-trustable Lumia 635, says the same site.
It is worth mentioning that, Microsoft re-branded the "Nokia Lumia" devices to "Microsoft Lumia" very recently. Apparently, the transition period is over and hence the change, says BGR. Meaning, very soon, the "Nokia USA" Twitter account will also be re-christened. Take a look at the tweet from Nokia USA here:
