Microsoft Lumia 640/645 – New Low-end Dual-SIM Smartphone To Come With Snapdragon 400, 1 GB RAM, HD Screen, Massive Battery, $ 275 Price Tag And More
Microsoft is speculated to reveal a new low-priced handset called the Lumia 640 soon. It will come out to replace the Lumia 630. The device with the model number RM-1109 has received approval by Anatel, the Brazilian National Telecommunication Agency. Lumia 640 with model number RM-1072 and RM-1077 have cleared FCC certifications.
The FCC documents of RM-1072 family that includes models like RM-1075 and RM-1077 reveals that the Lumia 640 will feature a distinctive battery with model number BV-T5C. According to Nokia Power User, the RM-1109 that has been certified by Anatel also features the very same battery.
The Lumia 640 with the model number RM-1077 will support dual SIMs. The handset will also be launched with the moniker Lumia 645 that will support single SIM. The model number RM-1077 is the LTE variant of the device. The handset has also received approval from the regulatory body in Indonesia and in the recent past it was also reported that it is being tested in India.
Nokia Power User says that the handset will be featuring an unconventional 8.7 MP powered with PureView technology. Rumours have it that it may feature the very same 8.7 MP camera unit from Lumia 920. It will also feature a 0.9 MP fixed-focus camera at the front.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 will be equipped with 5-inch HD display that supports 1280 x 720 pixels. The Lumia 640 will be powered by quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1 GB of RAM.
It features an internal storage of 8 GB. It will also feature external microSD storage slot. It will also come with connectivity features wireless charging cover and NFC. Lastly, the unique BV-T5C has a storage capacity of 2500 mAh, says Phone Arena. It is not clear whether the handset will be running on Windows Phone 8.1 or it may come out with the all new Windows 10 OS.
The handset will be rolled in the market with an estimated price tag of $275 (AU$ 350). The Microsoft Lumia 640 is expected to get unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 event.
