Microsoft has been accidentally revealing quite a lot of information in the recent past. Last week, Microsoft's support page for Windows 8.1 update carried the words "Surface Pro 3." This leak established the fact that Surface Pro 3 is in the offing, even before the official announcement of the tablet was made.

But very recently Microsoft Research has unexpectedly published a file that contains first images and elaborate details about the company's "Touch-First Office productivity suite". This particular page of Microsoft Research does not exist anymore, but the leaked images of touch-first versions including that of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook were seized. And the images are already making rounds in the internet space.

The Redmond based tech giant Microsoft's upcoming touch-first Office will provide users with a clean and uncluttered interface, befitted for touch-based devices, writes BGR. Along with the details of the user interface, the leaked images also gave out the information on the possible support for ink-based computing; also known as hand-written or text-based annotations.

The touch-first Office suite from Microsoft is codenamed and referred internally as "Gemini."The same name was also spotted in an earlier leak along with other products like Windows 9 and the cloud based Windows 365. The leaked information also had reference to future products like Windows 8.1 (Update 2) and Office 2015.

It is worth noting that, Microsoft released Office for iPad quite recently exclusive to Apple's tablet users. This Office version was received with positive reviews. In addition, Microsoft will be unveiling a compact version of its Surface tablet dubbed 'Surface Mini' and Surface Pro 3 tablets in an event scheduled for May 20 in New York.
