The October 2015 lineup of free games for Xbox One and Xbox 360 has been announced just recently. Players who are currently and Xbox Live subscriber will get a total of four free games next month for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Major Nelson announced via his official blog the three titles coming to the Xbox consoles for the month. These games include “Valiant Hearts: The Great War” and “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.” Xbox Live subscribers will also get the complete first season of “The Walking Dead” for the both the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

“Valiant Hearts: The Great War” is a puzzle game developed and published by Ubisoft. It tells the story of four characters as they try to aid a young German soldier search for his love during the first World War. The game received generally positive reviews and it was praised for its compelling storyline. The game will be up for grabs on Oct. 1 to 31.

It seems Microsoft is taking advantage of the current popularity of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” as it is giving away a free copy of “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” from Oct. 1-15 for Xbox 360 owners.

The game is quite short compared to “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” but it will set the events leading up to the latest title. The game will let players take control of Big Boss as he goes to infiltrate Camp Omega, the much-anticipated area coming to “Metal Gear Online.”

Both Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners will have a chance to grab the first season of Telltale’s “The Walking Dead.” It will be available from Oct. 16-31 for the Xbox 360, and Oct. 16-Nov. 15 for the Xbox One. The game is based on the comic book series of the same name, but it does not follow the plot of it. It does however, use some characters found in the comics. It is played a lot like a narrative, wherein players will make decisions that could result in some drastic consequences.

While waiting for the next lineup of free games, players can still get a hold of September’s free games until Sept. 30, Gamespot reports. This month’s lineup include Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Battlestations: Pacific, and Crysis 3.
