Microsoft Surface 3 price slashed by $125 on Amazon
Microsoft had slashed the price of the Surface 3 tablet by $150 (AU$199) in the US last month, and now Amazon is offering a discount of up to $125 (AU$166) on the Microsoft Surface 3 in the country.
On Amazon, the Wi-Fi models of the Microsoft Surface tablet with 64 GB storage is now available for $385 (AU$512), while the other Wi-Fi variant of Surface 3 with 128 GB storage can be bought for $475 (AU$632). Both variants are available with free shipping service.
Compare these with the prices on the Microsoft Store, where the 64 GB and 128 GB editions of the Surface 3 are available for $499 (AU$664) and $599 (AU$797), respectively. This means the Amazon sellers are offering the 64 GB Surface 3 with a discount of $115 (AU$153), and its 128 GB variant with a price cut of $125 (AU$166).
While the prices refer to the Windows 10 edition of the Surface 3 models, the gadget is also available in the Windows 8.1 OS edition.
The Surface 3 was announced last year on March 31 and was later made available for purchase in the US from May 5. In appearance, the Surface 3 looks like the Surface Pro 3 as it comes with a magnesium alloy chassis.
It comes with a 10.8-inch display that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels, and is powered by Intel Atom x7-Z8700 quad-core processor that is supported by up to 4 GB of RAM. It also features Intel HD graphics, and carries support for up to 200 GB of microSD card on its external storage.
The front side of the tablet features dual speakers and a 3.5 MP camera, while the rear houses an 8 MP camera. Users may make use of several accessories with the Surface 3 such as Bluetooth active pen and TypeCover keyboard. It furthermore comes with numerous connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, v4.0 Bluetooth, USB 3.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, Mini DisplayPort, and microUSB port.
