Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Featuring Windows 10 OS To Come In Two Size Variants, Aimed For Killing Apple And Android Tablets
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 was released in June and barely six months after its arrival rumours on the successor model are swirling up consistently. The Microsoft Surface 4 is probably going to arrive in 2015 and new rumours indicate that it will be rolled out in two variants.
According to Latino Post, the successor model will be available in two size options. One would be an 8-inch device and the other one would sport a larger display of 13 to 14 inches. It states that smaller tablet will be aimed to compete with tablets running on iOS and Android whereas the larger one will be aimed towards business sector.
Since the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date is slated for 2015, it will probably come loaded with the Windows 10 OS consumer edition. Windows 8 which has been criticized heavily will be soon replaced by the newer OS and all major forthcoming devices from Microsoft will feature it. According to an IBTimes that was published earlier this month, the design and the dimensions of Surface Pro 4 will be almost similar to that of predecessor tablet. The reason behind it is that the new accessories built for Surface Pro 3 are also said to be compatible with the successor tablet.
Christian Today has also reported that the Surface Pro 4 will come with an upgraded processor and RAM. According to Air Herald, the reason why Surface Pro 4 will be released with a newer processor is that soon after the release of Surface Pro 3, Intel had launched a new CPU variant designed for mobile devices.
As far as the Surface Pro 4 price is concerned, it is expected to be costlier than the Surface Pro 3 which starts at $800. Christian Today adds that Surface Pro 4 would be available with a price range of $1,000 to $2,000. Crossmap claims that the newer tablet would be around $100 costlier than the predecessor model. There is no confirmation on the Surface Pro 4 release date but it is expected to come out by middle of 2015 to the beginning months of 2016.
