Microsoft Surface Pro 5, as part of a Surface Service Program, will be nice; Multi-taskers using multiple devices to benefit most
If Microsoft offers Surface devices, including Microsoft Surface Pro 5, as a Service Program, it will allow authorised distributors offer the devices with a subscription model. This, in turn, will help customers buy the latest devices without large upgrade costs. The workforce demographic is shifting towards millennials. They multitask a lot, use multiple devices and are more collaborative. Hence, a Surface Service Program is essential. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 may however look to bridge the gap but providing top-notch specs and features.
According to TechAdvidor, the basic version of the Surface Pro 5 with an entry-level Core i3 chip may be priced similar to the Surface Pro 4. There will also be the Intel Kaby lake Core i7 high-end version with plenty of RAM and storage that would definitely cost more. The Surface Pro 4 is already being offered at amazing discounts and that can only mean a Surface Pro 5 release in the coming months. A top rumour circulating on the web is that the Surface Pro 5 will come with a Surface Pen that will contain a rechargeable battery.
This accessory will charge wirelessly when magnetically attached to the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. There is an ongoing debate on what processor Microsoft will use in the Surface Pro 5. While some say, the company will go for a Skylake chipset, others say, it could also go for an ARM processor. However, the most-likely chip to find a place in the device is the Intel Kaby Lake processor. Now that Lenovo Miix 720 is also using the same chipset, Microsoft may not give it a miss.
The basic Microsoft Surface Pro 5 may have a 2K screen although those who are looking to splurge, a 4K version may also be made available. A 16GB RAM is also expected for the basic version. The cameras, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are all getting upgraded. The Surface Pro 5 is expected to use USB Type-C ports that can also be used for charging purposes. While the device is expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2017, it may take time hitting shelves due to the Windows 10 Creators update releasing in spring.
There are some big improvements on the cards and one of them is an upgraded Touch Screen panel that will operate more fluidly and accurately with both hands and the Surface Pen. According to Tech Times, people expect big things from Microsoft Surface Pro 5 mainly because the company skipped any upgrade to the Surface Pro 4 device.
