Microsoft Surface Pro & Apple iPad Pro to cater to creative & business professionals respectively; iPads could be delayed further
Numerous reports have suggested that Apple will be releasing three new iPads in 2017. Fans expect the Cupertino tech giant to come up with a 9.7-inch, a new 10.5-inch and the last one, a 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Apple has not revealed any details about the specs and features of these devices. However, fresh reports claim that the iPads will be further delayed as the devices are still in a planning stage.
According to GSMArena, the 9.7-inch iPad will start getting manufactured in the first quarter but the other two will run well into second quarter. Apple is unlikely to make a one-device announcement and the A10X chipsets that will be incorporated inside the bigger devices are still in production. It is widely believed that the 9.7-inch iPad will be the entry-level device as there is no mini version this time.
Apple has been absolutely silent on the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and tech enthusiasts say it could have been a one-time thing. Once Apple releases the iPads in the market, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will go head-to-head with the Microsoft Surface Pro as both of them are expected to boast some serious specs. The Surface Pro 4 received critical acclaim and the artistic lot simply loved it. The creative people loved the Stylus and its ability to create artistic sketches on screen.
The Microsoft Surface Stylus is integrated into Windows 10 applications. While the Apple Pencil is also a very efficient and useful device, it sadly does not have enough apps to support its usability. The Apple iPad Pro has been designed specifically keeping in mind the business users. An Apple Pencil with full iPad Pro support will be a precious addition. The 2017 iPads are expected to be equipped with the amazingly fast A10X chipsets.
The 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro is expected to feature a 12MP primary camera. Microsoft may soon release the Surface Pro 5 device, which undoubtedly is the most-anticipated device in the hybrid tablet space. It is already offering great discounts on its Surface Pro 4 device that many believe is a clear indication that the Surface Pro 5 is nearby, writes Auto World News.
