Microsoft unveils September 2015 Games with Gold for Xbox One and Xbox PAX Prime schedule
With September closing in fast, Microsoft has already released the lineup of games coming for its Games with Gold program. Opening the month for the Xbox One is “The Deer God,” a game that also found success in Kickstarter as an indie sidescroller and 3D pixel game about reincarnation. This will be available for the entire month.
Kicking off from the middle of the month is “Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition,” also for the Xbox One. Players can enjoy the high-definition adventures, beautiful environments and realistic reboot of the favorite Lara Croft series for free, according to the Xbox Wire.
For Xbox 360 players, “Battlestations Pacific,” a World War II strategy and action title will be available from Sept. 1 to 15. From Sept. 16 to the end of the month, “Crysis 3” will be available for download.
As usual, the Games with Gold promo is limited to Xbox Live Gold members. Also, come November, the Games with Gold titles will be backwards compatible with the Xbox One.
Microsoft has also provided its schedule for the upcoming PAX Prime event, as announced via Major Nelson’s blog. Xbox fans who managed to score tickets to PAX Prime can expect a lot of new information and even hands-on to some new titles and items before they get to be released. Starting on Aug. 29, where Major Nelson Radio feature an hour-long podcast of what’s happening with Xbox.
On Aug.31, a “Scalebound” gameplay demo and Q & A event will be held. Apart from Major Nelson, panelists for the event will include game director Hideki Kamiya, executive producer Atsushi Inaba and creative producer JP Kellams.
Still, beyond the events, the Xbox Booth will be available from Aug. 27 to 31, where its lineup of games will be made accessible to attendees. That said, some of the games that fans can play at PAX Prime include “Halo 5: Guardians,” “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” “Forza Motorsport 6,” “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege,” “Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2,” “Mirror’s Edge Catalyst” and “Cuphead.” For fans who are looking to avail of the Xbox One Elite controllers can also try their hands on these at the event.
