Miley Cyrus Creates Original Artwork For Cody Simpson's New Track, 'Flower'
Miley Cyrus is a famous singer, an actress, a model and now she has a new feather in her cap. The “Wrecking Ball” songstress has created artwork for Cody Simpson's new track “Flower.” Cyrus has created a simple artwork for Cody where she has used a huge white flower against a black background.
Miley Cyrus told the Rolling Stone magazine that she started shooting the entire thing on a polaroid camera but she did not like the results. The 22-year-old then ditched her polaroid and shot the flower on her iPhone. “I just wanted something where people didn't have a stereotypical idea of what he was and could just look at the song for what it is,” Miley was quoted as saying about the artwork by the Rolling Stone.
Miley is good friends with Cody, who likes her “unorthodox and fun" nature. She even brought “two massive pizza cakes” for his 18th birthday bash. In MIley's recent interview with Rolling Stone, the songstress has called Cody as “super f*ing cool guy” and an “epic” guitar player and singer. On Cody's Instagram pictures, Miley can be seen having a blast at Cody's star-studded birthday party.
Cody has been working on his upcoming album titled “Free” for quite some time now. The 18-year-old revealed the track “Flower” on his Instagram profile, saying it was his first “piece of work as a free man and independent artist” as he is distributing his own tunes. According to the website, “Free” not only signifies a shift in Cody's attitude but also his style of singing. The website also adds that the Australian singer has shifted from creating “formerly synth- and bass-heavy dance pop” music to a “breezy, Jack Johnson-esque acoustic beach pop.”
The singer says that the change came easily for him. Cody told the website that his focus is currently on creating an actual experience of listening from start to finish rather than just creating a few hit songs. The musician is hoping to release five new songs in the next couple of months while his upcoming album “Free” is expected to be released before summer.
