The developers of Minecraft are burning the midnight oil to meet the goal of unveiling a full version of Minecraft on 11/11/11. Just two weeks after releasing Minecraft 1.8, another adventure update to the sandbox building indie video game written in Java by Swedish creator Markus "Notch" Persson, has been leaked. Persson has also tweeted that Minecraft 1.10 is in the works.

Mojang developer Jens "Jeb" Bergensten leaked the pre-release version of Minecraft 1.9 via Twitter.

Included in Minecraft 1.9 are new mobs, including a Snow Golem and a Mooshrum Cow. As with prior pre-release versions, the leak will likely be buggy and will be more appropriate for expert players.

The Minecraft 1.8 adventure update, which was also leaked by Bergensten, was packed with new adventure elements including villages, dungeons, and new terrain plus a new "creative mode" that allows players to create constructions on a truly massive scale. The bug-free and full version of Minecraft 1.8 is available for download through the Minecraft launcher.

Buggy or not, due to popular demand, we're giving a quick guide on how to install Minecraft 1.9:

1) Download the ClientMinecraft.jar file or the ClientMinecraftServer.jar.

2) Click the start menu in your Windows desktop. If you are using Window 7 or Vista, type into the search bar '%appdata%'. If you are using Windows XP, click 'Run' and type '%appdata%'.

3) Find and open the '.minecraft' folder.

4) Go into the 'bin' folder and find the Minecraft.jar file.

5) Substitute the existing Minecraft.jar file with the new downloaded version.

6) Close the folder down and run Minecraft.

7) Enjoy Minecraft 1.9 Beta.

Deleting current worlds is not required and the update will only work on a legitimate Minecraft copy (not pirated).

The full version of the game is expected to be released in time for MineCon 2011, the official Minecraft event on Nov. 18 to 29, at Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, Nev. Versions for Android, Apple's iOS and Microsoft Corp. are also slated for release this year.
Although the game is still currently in "beta," Mojang, the video game developer founded by Persson, has already sold more than 3.4 million copies of Minecraft, which has been continually updated and patched since the release of the initial version in December.
