‘Minecraft’ Over the Weekend: E3 2014 Builds, 1.7.10 Pre-Release and a New Cool Mod
Despite announcements having been made about the "Minecraft PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita" days before the E3 2014, this does not mean the well-loved building game will be out of the E3 2014 highlights in Los Angeles.
4J Studios, developer in charge of the "Minecraft PS4 Edition," "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" and "Minecraft PS Vita Edition," has teased a new tweet about what fans can expect at E3 2014.

With an entire weekend still open for anything to happen before E3 2014, it would be interesting to see 4J Studios tease a few more screenshots of the next-gen versions of "Minecraft" in the same sly way that they did before—but there are no promises made by the developer.
'Minecraft 1.7.10' and 1.7.10-pre2 Pre-Release is Out
With "Minecraft" Realms already available worldwide, more people now have access to the service. In turn, the developer has allowed for some changes in "Minecraft" that takes the service into consideration.
The pre-release version of "Minecraft" 1.7.10—and the new pre-release, dubbed the version 1.7.10-pre2—contains updates and bug fixes that are related to Realms and Realms-related modules.
"How does this release affect you? If you are not playing on Realms, it does not change anything at all. The main advantage is that we don't have to release new updates for Minecraft 1.7.x in the future, if we want to add new features to Realms," said Mojang over at the official Web site.
A few of the new features for Realms that come with the pre-release include player activity monitor, access to more server settings, improvements in Realms UI and some bug fixes.
Details for getting the snapshots are in the link above. But, as usual, the developer advises users to back up the existing world first before running the snapshot or running it in a different folder from their main worlds.
Bug reports are still welcomed by the developers, which can be reported here.
'Plague Inc.' as Seen on 'Minecraft'
With the weekend already here, Minecraft Forums provide another new mod that can be played on "Minecraft," this time taking after simulator title "Plague Inc."
A game from Ndemic Creations, "Plague Inc." has enjoyed quite a degree of success in mobile gaming as it has a fairly simple premise. Players need to strategise on how to kill humanity by evolving a deadly pathogen which will become a global plague. Of course, humans will retaliate in this game, making it even more interesting.
In "Minecraft," the counterpart is created by McMakistein using only vanilla aspects of the game. Check out the recreation, though not complete, in the trailer below.
