‘Minecraft’ Update 1.11 PC and Mac Edition, Boss Update are coming
The next “Minecraft” update is just around the corner. Mojang has announced via its official website that there will be new features for the “Minecraft” 1.11 Update.
This time, the next major update will be called The Exploration Update. The new features that the developer has already teased include new villagers. There will be new mobs in the Woodland Mansions and new villagers that will attack introducers with deadly magic and Vexes, which are basically magical flying imps.
“Minecraft” players can also buy maps from Cartographers, and some do lead to treasure.
Mojang will also add a little feature in the inventory called the Shulker Boxes. These chests that are meant to retain contents even when they are knocked down. The “Minecraft 1.11 Update” will also bring in llamas. These are not the animal, but raher mobile chests that can actually attack hostile mobs with spit.
For fans who are on the “Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta” and “Minecraft Gear VR Edition,” there’s a Boss Update coming on Oct. 18. According to the Xbox Wire, the Boss Update will usher in boss battles, tweaks to the Wither Boss battle and other slash commands. There will also be Add-Ons, which fans can try to experiment with.
“By editing simple text files, anyone can tweak Minecraft itself to add enormous explosions to tiny chickens or make villagers run at lightning speed to chase away any new monster mob you choose to create. Worlds you create with Add-Ons can be shared with others directly or uploaded to your Realms and accessed anytime, anywhere,” said Minecraft Executive Producer Jesse Merriam.
The developer is also looking at allowing players to add new input options. The Boss Update will also use the Xbox Wireless controller with Bluetooth when playing using the Windows 10 Edition and the Gear VR editions of the game.
