The next thing that fans are waiting for after the release of the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12 is the Mash-up Pack that has been promised

"Maybe there should be a trailer for the first Mash-up Pack to help everyone understand what's in it," said 4J Studios in their latest update for the Mash-up pack.

Perhaps a trailer can be expected as early as next week, as the developers have promised that more information about the mash-up pack will be released as soon as all the legal signoffs and matters have been dealt with.

For the meantime, explore these three new Minecraft mods that can make your Minecraft experience a little spicier over the weekend.

Harder Peaceful Mod

There is always that thin line between wanting to go on Peaceful or Hard mode, and the choice can bring both a lot of benefits and consequences to your world.

How about opting for the middle ground? This is what the Harder Peaceful Mod will bring your Minecraft world. According to MinecraftDL, Harder Peaceful Mod is the perfect mod for those who want to build more in their world or those who are just getting the hang of the game.

It is a Goldilocks mode--while it takes care of the mobs and makes it easier for you to simply build in your world, it also makes it harder because you will miss out on mob drops. Some of these include bone meal and rotten flesh, which can make growing food take more time.

For those who are already used to the Minecraft world, this will really be a challenge more than an advantage, though the challenge is more for the lack of enemies and abundance of lacking goods.

Download the Harder Peaceful Mod here, then follow these steps to install and play:

1. Download the Minecraft Forge.

2. Click on Minecraft.jar, place the files from the mod there, and delete META-INF.

Check out the Harder Peaceful Mod on the Minecraft 1.5.1, because all of the features are the just the same as what is now in the MInecraft 1.6.2.

Mutant Creatures Mod

Perhaps the total opposite of the previous mod is the Mutant Creatures Mod, which offers more mob types in the game.

For instance, you get the Mutant Zombie, which is a large creature that can stomp you senseless with massively damaging attacks. Even as a zombie, it doesn't burn in the daytime and will heal at night, which means continuous attack while it is injured is the key. Of course, massive attacks like this have massive rewards, as it will give you a hammer weapon.

Another mob type to look forward to in Mutant Creatures mod is the Mutant Creeper, has intense jump attacks that can level landscapes, spawns Creeper Minions, and bring an elemental-based lightning attack.

Lastly, there is the Elemental Mutant Creeper, which is perhaps the most dangerous of all. But this creature also gives the best reward in the form of the Minion Creeper Egg, allowing you to create your own Minion companion.

When you go in the Mutant Creatures Mod, expect several of these mobs, new fights, great mob drop rewards, and a pet creeper.

Download the Mutant Creatures Mod here and follow the steps as outlined in Minecraft DL:

  1. Download and install Forge.
  2. Type in %appdata% in the Start Menu. Search for .minecraft.
  3. Locate the Mods and place all the items in the Mutant Creatures zip file inside.
  4. Run Minecraft and go play.

Here is the demo video for the Mutant Zombies.

You can also check out the Mutant Creepers mob here, and see the jump attack demos.

Weather & Tornadoes Mod

If creepers and mobs aren't your thing, then perhaps you would prefer to deal with tornadoes to make the game a little more interesting.

The Weather & Tornadoes mod will add a tornado and other natural disasters in the game. In addition, you also get 5 stages of intense storm system, naturally spawning tornadoes, hurricanes, and water spouts, and storms that change the terrain.

9minecraft also provides a download of the modo with the recipe for crafting a tornado sensor and a tornado siren.

Here are the steps to get the game:

  1. Download the Minecraft Forge as well as the Weather & Tornadoes Mod.
  2. Extract the zip and copy the items in the %appdata% and the .minecraft folder.
  3. Run the game and play.
