It's no big news that the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12 is still being bug-fixed--in fact, 4J Studios has reiterated again that it's still under that process. However, the developers have added that there will be a trial version of the Mash-up Packs.

"All textures will be available, and no time limit. You just won't be able to save the trial pack," said 4J Studios in their official Twitter account.

Following the update through replies to fan queries, 4J Studios also reported that, if you have people joining your Minecraft world, they will only be able to see the new textures if they also have the trial version pack--but the good thing here is that they will be given the option to download that, perhaps via a prompt.

So far, the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12 seems to be undergoing a lot, and may come as big update the same way that the Skin Pack 5 managed to surprise with several character additions for skins.

The latest updates before for the TU 12 include a themed world in a Mash-up Pack, which is, as the developers describe it, "a save with recognisable location from the game the pack is themed to."

And from the looks of it, there may be a lot of mash-up packs rolling out, first as a trial pack, offered for free, according to developers.

Borderlands Weapon Mod

To do a little commemorative Minecraft Mod celebration for 4J Studios' awesome Skin Pack 5, which was just released last July 31, here are two mods that can be useful for those who prefer the PC version of the game.

If you want weapons from the Borderlands franchise, then the Borderlands Weapon Mod is perfect for getting randomly spawned weapons in the game.

According to MinecraftDL.com, the list of weapons include pistols, grenades, assault machine guns, shotguns, and more. This mod has been created for the Minecraft 1.6.2 as well as a lower 1.5.2 version.

Some of the features in the mod include the ability for mods to randomly drop weapons, so you can just go guns a-blazin' anytime. You can also enjoy a lot of randomly generated guns, each having a different color, recoil method, style, and manufacturers, which make for a very massive and extensive armory collection.

The Borderlands weapon mod also modifies shields and grenades, and it also has replay-ability so that you get a unique gameplay experience with each round. For the meantime, the weapon arsenal is limited and does not include the more outrageous choices like rockets, and explosives, but the developer has been noted to be looking into fixing it.

To install the Borderlands Weapon Mod, simply follow these steps:

1. Install the latest version of Minecraft Forge if you have not done so yet.

2. Download the Borderlands Weapon Mod at http://www.minecraftdl.com/borderlands-weapon-mod/.

3. Drag and drop the file in the folder to the mods folder of your Minecraft directory.

4. Run it in Minecraft and enjoy the carnage.

Far Cry 3 mod

Ubisoft has already made a Far Cry 3 mod which has been made available for download for Minecraft fans, but it feels that, in lieu of the Skin Pack 5, which also features some skin for Far Cry 3 and even Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, it deserves a fresh mention.

In its official website, the publisher states that the mod lets you experience Minecraft on the warped level of Far Cry 3, as it modifies the entire game, from the blocks and mobs down to the weapons and tools.

Created by Michael Lambert, who was also responsible for Sac3 and Newcraft City, Axel Janssen, and Yohann Delcourt, the Far Cry 3 mod features key Far Cry 3 locations, and characters like Vaas, Jason, and Citra in block form.

The map also has 50 Easter Eggs all over the islands waiting to be discovered. Check out the pack yourself and download it here.

According to Inurg.com, you don't need to have the ModLoader to install this mod. All you need to do is place the FarCry_3_textures.zip, which you can download from the link above, into the minecraft texture folder, and select it in the game. The map pack allows you to unzip the farcry3-minecraft-map.zip into your saves folder.
