New Skin Pack on the way

The first Minecraft Xbox 360 texture pack is already out--it's a slick and snappy Plastic Texture pack--but the Natural Pack still a ways away with 4J Studios hard at work.

Still, the developers have a surprise waiting in store for Minecraft fans.

"Battle and Beasts Skin Pack 2 for Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition coming this Wednesday!" said 4J Studios in their official Twitter account.

The Battle and Beasts Skin Pack 2 came before Skin Pack 6, which some fans have also been expecting for a while now. As to any progress with Skin Pack 6, 4J Studios reports that it is in "early development" as of the moment.

At Play XBLA, a couple of screenshots have already been released, with some of them featured right here.

The second part of this skin pack was made possible because of the overwhelming success of the first pack from last May.

A couple of underwater marine life skins are also seen here, with the walrus, octopus, dolphins, and whales among them.

A mini ghast can also be seen in the skin pack.

And of course, some battle uniforms can't be missed as well.

Fans Sound Off on Possible Texture Packs

With the Plastic Texture pack already out and the Natural Pack still on the way, there are already fans who have been suggesting other texture packs.

"I have a suggestion for next Texturepack would it be possible to get sphax Texturepack It would be awesome," said Vazage Nepia.

A Dokucraft texture pack seems to be of particular interest to a lot of fans. Dale Jones posted in 4J Studios' Twitter, "Are we going to be seeing more texture packs. Such as Dokucraft or Sphax pure bd craft?"

"You guys should make Dokucraft for Minecraft 360. That would be amazing," said Ben Bryson.

But 4J Studios' final word on the matter is that the possible Texture packs are dependent on Microsoft.

"There would be a good chunk of work to be done by 4J Studios to make them shine on Xbox and we'd have to make sure we get the proper permissions to be able to actually do it (which also isn't simple)," said Minecraft producer Rog at Play XBLA.

"What we are saying to you guys is that we are going to talk to the teams behind our favourite PC texture sets and see if we can sort something out."
