Coders Rest In The Office Of Swedish Company Mojang In Stockholm
Coders rest in the Mojang company office in Stockholm January 21, 2013. A pool table, a pinball machine, board games and Lego dot the offices of Mojang, the small Swedish company behind the wildly popular Minecraft video game, and one of its founders is wearing a tuxedo and purple tie on a recent "formal Friday". The atmosphere reflects the independent spirit that has contributed to the raw identity of the game that has just sold 20 million copies. The founders want to keep it that way. Mojang, the Swedish word for gadget, has so far resisted selling to a bigger player or listing on the stock market even though that could mean monster payoffs for the 25-person staff and funding to expand dramatically its games. With "Minecraft PS4 Edition" already with Sony for its final certification, Microsoft fans also do not need to worry about the Xbox One's version of the title. In the latest update from the developers, 4J Studios has also revealed that they have given the "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" for certification, as seen in the tweet below.

There has been no word yet on the progress of the "Minecraft PS4 Edition" or the "Minecraft PS Vita Edition" though the developers have previously announced that the three new editions of "Minecraft" will be out by August.

Still, considering that the "Minecraft PS4 Ediiton" and "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" have now been passed, it may take just a few more days until it becomes ready for release.

As far as the "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" is concerned, developers from Mojang Owen Hill and Daniel Kaplan shared a few more things about the upcoming title, and what the changes they have planned for it.

One of these is how the transfer will be managed for the Xbox One version. In an interview with OXM, the developers revealed that they now have a copy saved to a cloud, while another separate cloud server will be used when putting in saves on the Xbox.

This not only ensures that minimal to no bumps in the process will occur, but also the fact that there is no need for the Xbox profile link to happen. The developers explained that the profile saves will also not be enough to handle the kind of load the "Minecraft" will bring due to the nature of the title.

Another thing to note about the "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" is that the developers are still looking forward to applying more changes later on after the release.

"For now, we're just making sure everything works that is expected. The consoles are still quite early in their dev cycle and there are still platforms being developer," said Kaplan to OXM.

As far as updates and a new way to enjoy "Minecraft," the developers are open to adapting what can be done in the PC, though it may be further in the long run.

Considering that on the PC version of "Minecraft," players can go on a PvP mode with minimal restrictions, those on the Xbox 360 need to abide by some rules. Giving the example of "Hunger Games" mini-games that's all about survival, the developers did mention wanting to build a similar experience for those enjoying "Minecraft" in other platforms.

For now, expect the developers to be dedicated on rolling out "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" and the other versions to their respective platforms.
