Following her admission on national television that she broke up with her ordinary looking boyfriend because of her infatuation for a singer, Miss Universe 2012 1st runner-up Janine Tugonon is attracting bashers on Facebook.

At the same time, her ex-boyfriend, Jaypee Santos, is harvesting online support since he appears to be the victim of Twitter flirting between the beauty queen and The Script lead vocalist Danny O'Donoghue.

One of the first negative reaction to Janice's admission that her strong attraction for O'Donoghue led to arguments with Jaypee and their break up is this response of this popular Mexican telenovela character called Senyora Santibanez. She not only called the beauty queen an international flirt, but parodied Janice's answer to a beauty contest question.

Even in Janine Tugonon's Facebook fan pages, some followers expressed their disagreement with the beauty queen's action.

CarminaRichard Sayat wrote: "She looks good only when she wears tons of makeup. I watched Kris TV today and I really felt bad for her boyfriend. I don't know why she had to announce on TV that she's talking to this foreign singer from The Script! I felt bad for the guy!"

Emmanuel Tolentino chided Janinem, saying in Filipino, "You disregarded you long relationship for a man who you know may just knock you yp and then leave you after a few months."

Tgh Hg Nhg expressed his disappointment with Janine in a lengthy sermon to the beauty queen he once admired.

The negativity created by her public disclosure contrasts with the applause Janine got a few months back when she almost snagged the Miss Universe 2012 crown.

On the opposite side, ex-BF is getting more online support like this blogpost of @AJPerez which has been shared many times in Facebook. In a long open letter to Jaypee, the blogger assuaged the former beau's hurt feelings that another woman who may even be prettier than Janine may come into his life in the future. The blogger concedes the next woman may not be as beautiful as Janine, but she would likely be kinder.

However, Jaypee is apparently still in love with Janine and continues to defend her against bashers. He said people misunderstood her statement, but they are still on talking terms and trying to fix the mess. Jaypee added the TV interview, seen below, was taped three weeks ago and since then a lot of things had happened between them.
