The Miss Universe pageant is continuing this year despite contestants, hosts, and judges bringing controversy while sending in utterly inspirational stories to share.

The history makers of The Miss Universe 2013 include:

Miss Bulgaria Veneta Krasteva has been a tough fighter in real life and it took great courage and enthusiasm to reach up to this pageant. When she was only 18, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Krasteva was the first person in her family to combat breast cancer. She had to endure two years of painstaking treatment and had to put college on hold. She is free of the cancer now at age 21 and won the 2013 Bulgaria Miss Universe title in September. She is hoping that if she wins the Miss Universe crown on Saturday, she will be able to educate others about breast cancer.

Miss Israel Titi Yitayish Ayanaw, is originally from Ethiopia. She was an orphan who moved to Israel when she was 12 years old. She was raised up by her aunt and now lives with her grandmother. She worked in Israeli army as an officer, but never gave up hopes of becoming a model oneday. She had a friend who put her into a beauty pageant, and at age of 22 she became the first black Miss Israel. This stunning black beauty is hoping that if she wins the Miss Universe crown, it will support her in being a role model for the girls of her community.

Moe Set Wine of Myanmar is another trendsetter. She is the very first Miss Universe contestant to represent the Myanmar in 53 years. 25-year-old Wine is hopeful that her participation in the Miss Universe competition will help to introduce the world about her often ignored nation. She became the target of criticism on social media following the disclosure that she has competed as a Chinese beauty contestant.

Andy Cohen has boycotted the pageant due to Russia's anti-gay laws, he is an American television executive, author and the first openly gay host of an American late-night talk show.

Miss Kosovo Mirjeta Shala is outlawed to participate in the contest and subsequently resulted in Miss Albania Fioralba Dizdari's withdrawal from the pageant( due tp political reasons)

MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts, who is openly gay, feels he has had to answer back to all the critics who have suggested him he should have boycotted the contest and the country entirely. So he is one of the host of the gala tonight.

Miss Universe's Preliminaries score was erroneously leaked by one of the judges which suggested that Miss Britain, Amy Willerton will win Miss Universe 2013.

Miss Universe Ghana Hanniel Jamin had reportedly claimed that she was kidnapped by the organizers so that she does not participate in Miss Universe 2013 contest. She had posted on Facebook that she was threatened to be replaced by the first runner up of Miss Ghana contest.
