Miss Universe Timeline: The Olympics Of Beauty

After the Miss Universe 2013 pageant, Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler was crowned the winner in a ceremony that drew controversy as it was being held in Russia, where LGBT citizens are under blockade.

Since the pageant's inception in 1952, USA is on the top of the list by having eight wins. Second place goes to this year's winner Venezuela with seven won crowns. On the third place is Puerto Rico by winning the title for five times.
