More Battlefield Hardline Details Confirm Multiplayer Collaboration, Character Models and Possible PS4 Beta
PlayStation fans have another reason for attending the E3 2014 movie theater experience-there may be a chance to get an access code to "Battlefield Hardline's" beta on the PS4.
IGN reports that fans and NeoGAF readers who have already RSVP'd for the Sony S3 Experience received an email containing a PS4 code as confirmation. According to the report, the code is access to beta for two game modes on the "High Tension" map.
This PS4 codes have been confirmed for "Battlefield Hardline"-all the more reason to check out if there are still slots for the Sony E3 Experience in a movie theater near you. The movie theater experience is available in U.S. and Canada, and due to the overwhelming response, Sony has announced that it will be opening a few more locations.
Over at the official PlayStation E3 web site, gamers can still check out if their ZIP code has any open theaters for the experience.
As far as what's happening at E3 2014 for "Battlefield Hardline," Battlefield Blog has announced that there will be a preview press conference with CEO Andrew Wilson taking the lead. A sneak peek of "Battlefield Hardline" has also been scheduled, with promise of showin off the cops and criminals in the game. There will also be a livestream for the "Battlefield Hardline" 32-player multiplayer.
The broadcast can be viewed via the EA E3 coverage at this site starting 12:00p.m. PT on June 9.
Character Models Showcased for "Battlefield Hardline"
Beyond the initial slew of leaks prior to the official announcement of "Battlefield Hardline," a new gallery was spotted by BravoIntel, this time showing off the character models for the title.
The leak had mentioned that there will be four classes of soldiers for the title, namely Enforcer, Mechanic, Professional and Operator. And in the spotted image, there are two character models for each soldier class.
However, it's best to take this as a possible early rendering, since a previously leaked seven-minute gameplay was confirmed by developer Visceral Games to be at least six months old, and far from what they have now in production.
"Battlefield Hardline," a Collaboration of Studios
The announcement of "Battlefield Hardline" was pretty unexpected in all ways and manner, especially since the news broke days before the E3 2014.
But another reason for the surprise is that "Battlefield 4" as a game is far from being the complete experience that was promised to gamers last year. And even though DICE has already reassured fans that they are not abandoning development and improvement of the latter title, it does not mean that the studio does not have a hand in "Battlefield Hardline."

MP1st reports that Visceral Games' GM Steve Papoutsis has already confirmed that they will be leading the production of both the single-player and multiplayer segment of "Battlefield Hardline," as opposed to earlier rumours that it will be a split production, with Visceral Games on the single-player and DICE on the multiplayer experience.
However, this does not mean that DICE will not have a part in the production of "Battlefield Hardline." While they are focused on improving "Battlefield 4," DICE will also be providing assistance in creating "Battlefield Hardline."
