Apple Watch owners are "very satisfied" with their smartwatch, according to the data collated by 451 Research. Although not every user shared the same sentiment, a huge percentage gave the Cupertino company's wearable device their thumbs-up.

Although tech users who have purchased their own Apple Watch might go over thousands, 451 Research only gathered 145 Apple Watch owners and questioned them from July 27 to August 4.

According to the survey's results, which were posted on CNET, 54 percent said that they are "very satisfied" with the gadget. Thirty-three percent were not as excited about the device but admitted that they were "somewhat satisfied." Conclusively, 87 percent of today's Apple Watch users gave the wearable device a good rating.

Meanwhile, 6 percent said that they were "somewhat unsatisfied," while another 6 percent were not fans of the Apple Watch at all, saying that they are "very unsatisfied."

It is worth noting, though, that even if 451 Research only obtained responses from 145 people, extrapolating these numbers to a much larger audience places the device in a very positive light.

"Our latest survey shows the Apple Watch is off to a great start, with high marks in satisfaction and a strong likelihood of recommending it to others," said Andy Golub, the Survey Research Director of 451 Research. "The wide range of features on the device and its frequent usage among owners pose a clear threat to health and fitness monitors and traditional watches."

However, the negative aspects about the Apple Watch that are being pointed out by critics is its reliance on the iPhone, in addition to its non-waterproof feature. CNET has confirmed though that at least one of these weaknesses are going to be addressed in the second version of the device's OS. The new version is expected to largely reduce the gadget's reliance on the iPhone as well as bring more native apps for the watch that can function on their own.
