As Tuesday's much-awaited Apple Inc. announcement nears, there are new mockup photos of a purported iPhone5 circulating around the Internet.

The images are quite similar to previously leaked photos. The only difference is that the new iPhone5 seem to have a gold finish.

The mockup offers an excellent view of what the rumored iPhone5 design might look like, and while the actual device may not be making an appearance next week, the design may have come from a prototype for a future generation of the iPhone.

As expected, Apple did not comment on the photos, whether real or fake.
