‘Mortal Kombat X’ remains a bestseller as fan creates mods for Klassic Goro and Noob skins
Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios certainly have a hit on their hands. The earnings for Time Warner has been released, showing off that the video game division of the company has increased revenues by 15 percent. One of the titles that contribute to the revenue is “Mortal Kombat X.”
It appears that the newest installment of the long-running franchise remains at the top spot as the best video game for the year. This is quite the big achievement, considering that “Mortal Kombat X” was released only on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.
Most fans of “Mortal Kombat X” may still be waiting for the next DLC characters to arrive. However, there are some who have taken it upon themselves to create mods and skins of characters that have yet to be seen in the game.
The new skins can be seen in the video below, created by YouTube user Dynasty, as spotted by Design N Trend. Klassic Goro, as seen in the first “Mortal Kombat” game and Noob Saibot are the new additions to the game, albeit via mods.
The design for Goro in the “Mortal Kombat X” mod shows off a similar design to the classic skin. That means the white shin guards, the red ribbon belt and the yin yang buckle to complete his aesthetic look.
Noob Saibot also makes an appearance in the mod from Dynasty. His design is very similar to the ninja outfit that Sub-Zero sports. According to the source, this is expected, since the overall design of the Noob Saibot character is based on the ice ninja.
Players interested in getting these skins on the PC version of “Mortal Kombat X” can get them via the mods. Dynastic has provided links to the downloadable skins on the official YouTube page. However, players should note that the only things that change with mods are the looks—everything else including abilities and specials remain the same.
