Motorola has started rolling out a new Android Wear software update for Moto 360 (2nd Generation) . The update will bring in performance improvements combined with new Marshmallow features like Doze mode and App permission, confirms Motorola.

Doze mode will help users to save battery and optimise power usage, as the smartwatch will automatically go to sleep mode while it is idle. Doze mode inactivates all background processes which are not in use.
With the new software upgrade, the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) will also turn off the display or put the screen in ambient mode if “Always-on screen” is activated. The new update will also bring better control over apps, with users able to grant as well as modify permissions at any point from Settings.
The latest Moto 360 (2nd Gen) software update will fix display issues in always-on screen mode and step count lockup. The updated firmware would add support for improvements in always-on screen under certain light conditions and Bluetooth headset audio.
The Motorola wearable now also has new wrist gestures which will enable users to navigate seamlessly. Last week, Google announced the latest update for Android Wear, which included news wrist gestures, support for voice messages and built-in speaker for wearables.
The latest update for Moto 360 (2nd Gen) will introduce a new running app for the smartwatch, the Moto Body. With the help of Moto Body, users can sync their workout performance data with other fitness apps including Fitbit, MapMyRun and Under Armour Record.
“The new running app for Moto 360 (2nd gen) records your time, pace, distance and heart rate during your indoor workout,” says Motorola.
