Moto G 2015 Images Leaked; Gadget Features Revealed
Though Motorola scheduled an official platform to showcase its lineup of devices in NYC, Sao Paulo and London on July 28, the event is not reason enough for speculators to not reveal more about its upcoming products. Unconfirmed reports on the third generation Moto G’s specifications had already surfaced online and as the July 28 event nears, additional information about the expected features of Moto G again cropped up.
9 to 5 Google got its hands on the latest leaked images of the 2015 Moto G, which confirms that the third generation Moto G will sport 4G LTE compatibility. The phone is also expected to get a Quad core processor alongwith an expandable storage in the form of an SD card. Other likely features include a 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera and a 2470 mAh battery. The new phone will apparently get IPX7 certification. Even Apple Watch has gotten the same certification and this implies that the 2015 Moto G can adapt well if it is exposed to water of up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes.
Since the third generation Moto G is expected to be priced between $150 and $200, any form of durability will work towards luring more customers to the phone, as per a report on Android Authority. The report also mentions that the new phone is expected to be customisable through the Moto Maker service.
In May, Indian e-commerce retailer Flipkart accidentally listed the third generation Moto G and hinted at the likely launch of the next iteration in the Moto G lineup. However, the listing was taken off after a brief time.
With the Moto G range, Motorola has been releasing rich phones at affordable prices, reports Broadbandchoices.com. It added that the original Moto G launched in November 2013 won a number of ‘Best Buy’ awards. As per market research firm GfK, the popularity of budget phones is growing as they accounted for 56 per cent of mobile sales during Q1 2015 with Motorola and Huawei topping the charts. If the third generation Moto G features a 1080p display, then it will be a ‘value for money’ product, reports Broadbandchices.com.
