Moto G (4th Gen) specs, features released; Moto G 2016 anticipation heightens
Motorola released four posters on its official Twitter account, indicating key features of the new device. The posters on Twitter with #Missing are speculated to be the Moto G 2016 or Moto G4.
Last month during an event, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing confirmed to launch an “exciting” new Motorola device on June 9. According to prevailing speculations, the new device could be the next generation of Moto G (3rd Gen), the Moto G4 or Moto G (4th gen).
Meantime, the Lenovo-owned company confirmed to hold an event on May 17 in India. Motorola is yet to confirm the exact release date of Moto G4.
Moto G4 (4th gen): Teased specs and features
The series of tweets posted on the official Moto India account hint at better privacy, longer battery life, bigger memory and improved camera features.
Supporting earlier rumours, the first teaser image indicates better security system. Rumours are rife that the Moto G4 may sport a fingerprint scanner, which is not present in the Moto G (3rd gen).
The upcoming Moto G4 is believed to come packed with higher capacity battery unit as compared to its predecessor. The Moto G (3 rd gen) sports a 2470mAh battery.
The third teaser image probably hints at improved memory capacity as it features an angry man whose phone hung while playing his favourite game. The current Moto G (3rd gen) sports 1GB/8GB and 2GB/16GB memory-storage configurations.
Speculations suggest that the future generation of Moto G (4th gen) may sport 3GB of RAM.
The Moto G4 series may also sport overhauled camera specifications with autofocus, according to the fourth teaser image posted by Motorola. The current generation of Moto G (3rd gen) sports a 13-megapixel main camera.
The next iteration is rumoured to feature a 16MP rear-facing camera with autofocus.
Moto G4 (4th gen): Other rumoured specs and features
Both the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are expected to sport 5.5-inch display screen. Other rumoured specs include 16GB of internal memory and colour options of Black and White. According to Tech Radar, the Moto G4 could sport an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor as compared to a quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC, running the Moto G (3rd gen).
The Moto G4 will apparently come with the bigger sibling, the Moto G4 Plus, as reported by GizmoChina.
