The Motorola Moto G was launched in the last quarter of 2013. The handset is loaded with impressive features, and provides solid hardware & software performances. In addition, the smartphone is priced low, which makes it all the more attractive especially in the emerging markets.

The company showcased its 'Moto G Ferrari' edition on May 13, along with the Moto E and Moto G (4G Edition). This exclusive version of Moto G was unveiled in Mexico. The Ferrari edition comes with a Ferrari logo on it.

With the added value from the brand name 'Ferrari', the upcoming Moto G will cost US$390. Notably, the original Moto G version can be purchased for US$200.

What Does Ferrari Edition Offer Other than Logo?

In addition to providing the brand name of Ferrari on the front and the back, the additional 190 dollars will fetch an exclusive back cover. The back cover is a 'kevlar weave' design.

Other than the back cover design, this handset will also get access to exclusive wallpapers. According to reports, the wallpapers will be shared with the customer via portals like XDA developers.

Specifications

The Motorola Moto G Ferrari Edition houses the same features as the original Moto G model. This includes, a 4.5 inches IPS LCD screen with 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution. The Moto G is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, clocked at 1.2 GHz and it comes with a 1 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The handset sports a 5 MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera unit. The phone runs on Android 4.4 and is equipped with a non-removable Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery.

microSD Card Support

It is worth noting that, the recently released 'Moto G 4G LTE' version also features the same specification as the original model, other than providing the LTE connectivity. In addition, the 4G LTE version supports the much-required microSD card slot for further expansion. It remains to be seen, whether the Ferrari edition of Moto G would provide microSD card support.
