Moto G5, spotted clearing FCC, to have NFC support; Moto G5 Plus leaks reveal more specs & features
Lenovo is said to hosting an event on Feb. 26, a day ahead of MWC 2017, where it is expected to unveil the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones. If reports are to be believed, Moto G5’s full specs have been leaked online by a Brazilian tech news site. It found a Motorola model name Moto G5 XT1672 in the database of a major retailer. Lenovo has already reportedly sent out invites for an upcoming MWC 2017 Motorola smartphone launch. As far as leaked specs are concerned, the Moto G5 has been sown to be much less powerful that the G5 Plus handset.
According to Indian Express, the leak, spotted by MotoG3, has shown the Moto G5 handset to be sporting a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display and a Snapdragon 430 processor. The Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, will sport a 5.5-inch FHD display and a Snapdragon 625 processor. The Moto G5 is less powerful in terms of hardware and is rumoured to have a 2,800 mAh battery, 32GB internal storage with microSD card slot, 2GB RAM, 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Complete render of the Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5 handsets were leaked earlier last week that showed three photos of the Moto G5 with three case options, a screen protector, full surround jacket and a flip cover. Both the smartphones may have the camera sensors at the back. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones have been reportedly spotted clearing FCC. The FCC filing however has shown the Moto G5 to be having a 3,000 mAh camera. The smartphone will also come with fast charging option.
The Moto G5 will also have support for NFC, something that has been absent in most phones in the Moto series. Moreover, the smartphone shown, carrying the model number 9839, also comes with a DTV dongle.
