Moto X users who have been on the lookout for the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update can now upgrade to the firmware via Over-the-Air or OTA release. According to the latest information, the official firmware has started rolling out to Moto X subscribers under Sprint and AT&T. Similar to other Android releases, some users may have early or late access depending on their region and carrier.

According to Epoch Times, Sprint and AT&T Android 4.4.4 firmware release is now accessible through soak test. The update has been available starting August 15. Mass release or launch of the firmware will soon follow given there are no problems with the soak test users.

According to Android Geeks, the release will be in phases thus OTA notification for some may come later than others. Users should not worry because Motorola and partner networks should be finished with the update within the month.
