Motorola Moto X+1 specifications are making waves yet again with recently revealed information from a Brazilian retailer named Livraria Logos, says Droid-Life. In addition, a new report suggests that the Moto 360 smartwatch will be released along with the launch of the upcoming Moto X+1. The Moto X+1 release date is slated towards the end of the summer i.e. August 2014. The same report also indicates that the smartwatch will be sold through Motorola's Moto Maker. The expected colours are black or steel body, in addition to a variety of wrist strap, according to AndroidAndMe.

The Moto X, meanwhile, got released in August 2013 and the handset received positive reviews from both critics and users alike. Interestingly, the officially unannounced Moto X+1 is also referred as Moto X2 by several tech Web sites. Display and Exterior

The Moto X comes with 4.7 inches AMOLED display bundled with a screen resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, whereas the Moto X+1 features a bigger 5.2 inches screen with a solid full HD 1,920 × 1,080 pixels resolution.

The Moto X has a thinner body and it boasts a premium look. The exterior is made of PET composite, a durable plastic. Even though, the handset looks sturdy, it is lightweight as well. The rear side has a soft-touch finish; hence it is comfortable on the hands and there shouldn't be any problems with fingerprints. Moto X+1, on the other hand, is expected to follow suit with the same 25 back panel options that can be customized with the help of Moto Maker.

Hardware, Software and Memory

The Motorola Moto X is powered by a dual-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro) Motorola X8 processor, clocked at 1.7 GHz and it comes with a good 2 GB of RAM. Whereas, the Moto X+1 is reportedly powered by an improved quad-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 800) clocked at 2.3 GHz, and the same 2 GB of RAM.

The Moto X runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat (upgradable to Android v4.4.3 KitKat), while the Moto X+1 is expected to run on Android v4.4.4 KitKat version out of the box. The Moto X comes with 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage with no microSD slot for expansion, whereas the Moto X+1 will be debuting with 32 GB of internal storage with microSD slot for expansion up to 128 GB. It is worth noting that, earlier reports pointed to 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage capacity for Moto X+1.

Camera and Battery

The Moto X sports a 10 MP (LED Flash) rear-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera, whereas the Moto X+1 will sport a 12 MP (LED Flash) rear-facing camera, and a 5 MP front-facing camera. The Moto X houses a good-enough non-removable 2200 mAh battery, while the Moto X+1 will boast a relatively better non-removable 2900 mAh battery unit, says Droid-Life.

Connectivity, SIM and Colour

Both the phones support WiFi, 4G/3G/2G, Bluetooth, and NFC. In addition, both the handsets support nano-sim. Similar to the predecessor, the Moto X+1 will come with black and white front panel and a customizable 25 different colour options for the back panel.

Price

The Moto X 16 GB is priced at AU$479.95, whereas the Moto X+1 is reportedly priced at US$400 under AT&T contract. This price information is listed in an unfinished AT&T webpage; hence the price details pertaining to Moto X+1 (or Moto X2) should be taken with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, the Moto X+1 is expected to cost similar to the predecessor Moto X.
