Motorola announces Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Moto X Style
Lenovo-owned Motorola recently announced the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its Moto X Style. Multiple reports are coming in that the update is aimed towards improving the smartphone’s battery life and overall performance.
Motorola started to soak test Android 6.0 on the handset last week. Now, the phone’s update to the latest OS is ready for launch in several European countries. Since the update been released, several customers gave positive feedback on the phone’s performance, reports Gadgets NDTV.
A user said that after upgrading the phone to the new Marshmallow OS update, the Moto X Style started offering 7 to 8 hours of screen-on-time with a single charge. With this, Motorola has successfully fixed one of its most annoying battery issue complaints with the update.
Motorola announced earlier this month about the slew of phones that will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates. However, the Moto X Style wasn’t included in the list, which was met by disappointment from fans. Finally, the phone’s receiving the new update and there are lots of improvement to expect.

Google’s "Now on Tap" enables smartphones to function better and smarter and so with the update to Moto X Style, expect the phone to run smoother. "Doze," another feather to the cap in the latest Marshmallow update, allows putting your phone in hibernation mode by preventing apps from running on your device. This saves battery power for long hours so that your phone doesn't run out of charge more often.
The phone comes with a 5.7-inch screen size, 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 MSM8992 processor, 3GB of RAM, runs on Android 5.1.1 operating system and is powered by a 3000mAH removable battery.
