Motorola Droid Turbo Revealed Longer Battery Life and Killer Specifications
Last week a Verizon manual was leaked giving fair indication of what could be expected in the Motorola Droid Turbo. New information has emerged giving more information about this high end phone offered by the biggest carrier in the U.S.
Android Central stated that details regarding the Motorola Droid Turbo were sent to them by an anonymous source. According to this information, the Droid Turbo is available in red and black colours and the chassis is akin to the Droid MAXX. The body of the Turbo is scratch resistant metalized glass fibre with Corning Gorilla Glass III display with splash resistant properties. The Droid can be drenched in the rain for about 20 minutes. The back cover is toughened with Kevlar and has a smooth finish.
Within the Motorola Droid Turbo is a 5.2 inch Quad HD which is 2,560 x 1,440 resolution display with 565 pixels per inch. The processor is a 2.7 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. The rear facing camera is 21 mega pixels that can record videos in 4K and Dual LED flash. This also includes the Quick Capture and video highlight features similar to the Moto X.
The main feature that everyone looks in a phone is the capacity of the battery and its life span. The Droid is powered by a 3,900 mAh battery that can go without charging for 48 hours of use. Motorola Droid Turbo can be used up to 8 hours with 15 minutes of charging from the Motorola Turbo Charger according to claims. It also includes wireless charging.
The Turbo will support Verizon's 4G LTE/XLTE network and within 3 months of launch it will be updated to take advantage of the Big Red Wireless Calling 1.0, the carriers VoLTE.
Android Central state that the Droid Turbo could be running on Android 4.4 KitKat as there is no mention of the operating system in the information. There are new features in the handset along with the Moto Display, Moto Voice and Moto Assist that the Turbo has new Zap features. Zap to TV will use Chromecast to set up slide show of photos and the Zap with Voice lets users share screenshots and Zap Zone allows users to set up their own group to share pictures etc.
With all these specifications and features packed into Motorola Droid Turbo, it is a high-end phone for Verizon.
