Motorola will introduce the Moto X Force for emerging markets like India in January 2016. The company has already unveiled the same model dubbed the Droid Turbo 2 in the United States.

Motorola general manager Amit Boni confirmed the launch of Moto X Force featuring shatterproof display technology in India during an interview with IBN Live. He also reconfirmed the same Droid Turbo 2 will be introduced as the Moto X Force in India and other countries.

Moto X Force will sport the coveted Moto ShatterShield technology (see video below). The phone will feature a 5.4-inch Quad HD flexible P-OLED display. The display uses a five-layer setup that enables it to withstand or absorb shock from any forceful impact caused by the sudden dropping of the device.

The Moto X Force will also incorporate the highly rated 21MO camera sensor of the Moto X Style. The camera also features an f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, dual LED flash and 4K video recording. The NFC-supported device will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Similar to the Droid Turbo 2, the Moto X Force will get a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB of RAM; will come packed with 32 GB or 64 GB native storage options and will have a microSD card slot for memory expansion of up to 2TB.

In the meantime, Motorola started rolling out Google’s latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen) on Verizon, Sprint and U.S Cellular. Motorola's David Schuster announced the full deployment of the firmware on Google+. He also mentioned the company has started a soak test in Brazil for the 2015 Moto X Force.
