One of the highly anticipated budget phones Motorola Moto E is expected to be released on May 13. The price of the device may have been leaked online. The specs of the device were leaked online previously.

Citing the data from an import Web site, AndroidOS reported that the price of the Motorola Moto E will be between AU $140 to AU $150. The device is expected to be launched in London and New Delhi initially.

The retail units may have already been imported for the Indian market, according to the report. UK, Brazil and Mexico may get the device within days of the unveiling of the Motorola Moto E. The list of countries where the device will be available and their release date will be confirmed during the May 13 event.

Three models of the Motorola Moto E may be unveiled at the upcoming company event, the single sim XT1021, the dual sim XT1022 and the dual sim with digital TV model XT1025. The specs of the phone were leaked online previously.

The Motorola Moto E will reportedly come with a 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen, rendering 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The device is rumoured to have 124.8 x 64.8 x 6.2 mm dimensions and light weight.

It will reportedly be equipped with a dual core 1.2 GHz processor. The internal memory of the device is said to be 4 GB, which can be expanded by up to 32 GB using a Micro SD card. The device is rumoured to come with 1 GB of RAM and run on the Android KitKat operating system.

The primary camera is reported to be 5 MP and the specs of the secondary camera are still unknown. The device may come with a Li-Ion 1900 mAh battery. Analysts feel that the low specs of the device will be commensurate with the price.

Motorola is expected to launch the follow up version of the popular Moto X - the Moto X+1 along with the Moto E. This would allow the company to compete in both high end and low end segments of the price spectrum.

Will the Motorola Moto E, priced lower than the popular Moto G, be able to add substantially to the company's revenues? The competing smartphone manufacturers may closely monitor the success or failure of this device before considering launching a competing device.
