Motorola Nexus 6 Is Powered With Snapdragon 805 Chipset, Confirms CPU-Z Screenshots
The Nexus 6 aka Motorola Shamu will not be powered with a Snapdragon 801 processor, but rather it will get its horsepower from the new Snpadragon 805 processor. The new CPU-Z benchmark screenshots of Nexus 6 has revealed a lot about the device. According to GSMArena, the handset managed to hit a score of 3199 on another benchmark site, Geekbench. The score is higher than the scores of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
The Nexus 6 is supposedly to be the successor device for the older Nexus 5 smartphone. However, the successor device seems to flaunt a larger display and powerful specs. Rumors have it that the Nexus 6 will arrive sometime in November. The new CPU-Z benchmarks does not reveal the performance score of the processor, but it does help in revealing most of the Nexus 6 specifications. Codenamed as Motorola Shamu, the Nexus 6 will be definitely made available through all the major carriers in U.S.
Last year's Nexus 5 was an LG device. However, the new Nexus 6 is a Motorola smartphone. The Nexus 6 will be the very first device to run on Google's brand new Android L operating system. The handset will feature the quad-core Snapdragon 805 CPU that delivers a clocking speed of 2.65 GHz. The powerful processor will be supported by Adreno 420 graphics. It will also include a 3 GB RAM.
The Nexus 6 CPU-Z benchmark photos also reveals that the handset will feature a quad HD display screen that will support a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. It supports a higher pixel density of 560 ppi. The size of the display is still not confirmed. PhoneArena claims that since the display supports 560 ppi, it would feature a 5.2-inch display. However, the Geekbench tests revealed that the Motorola Nexus 6 has a 5.9-inch display.
The hype around the new Nexus 6 is building up consistently. The reason why the Nexus devices have been always popular is that they always feature powerful specs at lower prices. Also, whenever there is any new Android update available, the Nexus devices are the first ones to receive them. Nexus devices do not come pre-installed with bloatware and thereby manages to deliver pure Android experience.
