A faster processor and a larger display won’t work out if a smartphone’s not juiced up enough for you. The year 2015 has seen the release of many smartphones with more emphasis on battery life. Here are five smartphones with huge batteries of more than 3,000 mAh.
Motorola Droid Turbo 2
The world’s first ever smartphone with a shatterproof display is shipped with a monstrous 3,760 mAh battery. The phone also touts itself as the “fastest charging” handset that can be juiced up to deliver 13 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes.
The TurboPower technology is especially developed to achieve a maximum amount of charge in minimum time. It offers 48 hours of battery life, claims Motorola. The fully cutomisable Droid Turbo 2 sports a 5.4-inch AMOLED Quad HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.
Motorola Moto X Play
Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and 2 GB of RAM, the Motorola Moto X Play houses a gigantic 3,630 mAh battery. Motorola says the device stays alive for a full 48 hours of mixed usage on a single charge. The 5.5-inch Full HD smartphone is also able to quick charge for eight hours of use in just 15 minutes.
Google Nexus 6P
The latest Google Nexus 6P made by Huawei is one of the handsets available in the market that is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The latest version of Google’s operating system ensures better performance and more power efficiency.
Moreover, the massive 3,450 mAh battery helps to keep the lights on for nearly 12 hours and 30 minutes, according to Business News Daily. Thanks to Marshmallow, the Doze mode that stops all the background apps once the device is not in use also boosts battery life.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
The year, Sony launched the world’s first ever smartphone with 4K resolution. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Triluminos display with 3840 x 2160 resolution. The company also packed the device with a hefty 3,430mAh battery to keep everything running.
The smartphone also features Quick Charge 2.0 that powers up the phone in just 10 minutes. Sony claims the massive battery lasts for up to two days on a single charge.
OnePlus 2
The “ 2016 Flagship Killer ” OnePlus 2 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor by Qualcomm paired with a massive 4 GB of RAM. The 4G LTE compatible device is powered by a meaty 3,300 mAh battery.
It seamlessly powers the device to run apps, games and HD videos. The lithium-polymer battery of OnePlus 2 ensures a day long battery life.
