Naya Rivera used her blog to share to her friends how she is faring with her second trimester of pregnancy. According to the former “Glee” star, a lot changed during this period, one of which is her feelings toward making love with her husband.

Known for playing straightforward Santana Lopez on “Glee,” Naya did not mince words when she blogged (via People magazine) about her experiences during her second trimester of pregnancy. She discussed the ups and lows of the period and all the changes she went through. On the personal blog, the actress shared that the second trimester was something she looked forward to because she heard that it was the period when she does not need to deal with morning sickness and extreme fatigue anymore. She shared that what she heard is right. However, taking the place of these negative experiences were also a host of changes she needed to cope with.

She shared that she because she does not feel tired all the time, there were times that she can forget she is pregnant. She added that she felt like her old self again, but since she is still pregnant, she cannot engage in the same activities that she used to do. She added that she sometimes dreamt of drinking martinis and smoking that she would wake up panicking because she thought she actually did these things that are not allowed for a pregnant woman.

Interestingly, she added that sex with her husband Ryan Dorsey changed because of the baby. She said the positions she and her husbands can engage in are limited and her husband himself feels awkward with the act because he is imagining the baby “staring him in the face.” Aside from the change in this department, she said her belly had become so big now that she requires the help of others when it comes to daily activities such as tying a shoe or getting up from the bed.

The actress concluded her piece by saying despite the changes, the second trimester has been swell for her because she feels the baby moving all the time. She added that she would forever remember the moment when the baby kicked for the first time and Ryan felt it.

Naya’s penchant for writing about her life is not limited to blogging. She is also set to release her own memoir, entitled “Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up.” According to the Publishers Weekly, the memoir will detail the struggles she went through after becoming a known child star.
