NBA 2K14 Software Updates Fails to Correct Certain Issues, 2K Sports Announces More Fixes
An NBA 2K14 patch was recently released to fix several issues the users were having while connecting to the game's content. The update resolved different problems with the connection but gamers now report a whole batch of new issues with MyTeam and private TeamUp matches. 2K Games' Ronnie Singh earlier replied to several complaints on Twitter, stating that the fix for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions was already good to go and that the patch for the Xbox One and PS4 versions should be available at the end of Jan. 14.
The server connection problems blocked gamers from transacting with virtual money that allows them to purchase goods and attributes for custom players. It is needed for other game modes as well, such as MyTeam and NBA Today.
Another complaint is the microtransactions that irritate the players who want to gain their level based on skills rather than paying even extra in spite of paying hundreds of dollars on the game console and NBA 2K video game alone. The players have been receiving locker codes from 2K Sports as a way to pay back for server issues.
NBA 2K14 was just recently awarded as the best-selling sports game in the United States for next generation consoles, the Xbox One and PS4. The title outsold Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14 and NBA Live 14, according to the NPD data. The title was overall the top selling game on both next gen consoles too and the sixth best selling title when all console versions are added in, according to USA Today.
NBA 2K14 is outselling the NBA 2K13 with the next gen versions of the title, which 2K Sports announced to be a pleasant and surprising revelation. "If you see the current generation and the next gen of NBA 2K14 together, we have actually sold more units combined than we did in 2013 on only the current gen," Take-Two President Karl Slatoff said, PlayStation Lifestyle reports. "So people hear so many in the industry right now about the issues that developers have in the transition period and the hazard that are related to the transition, which are all true. But in specific situations, we have only one game right now for the next gen. We are not seeing that."
