NBA 2K15 Face Scans Turns Players Into ‘Monstars’, Network Problems Still Persist
2K Sports broke ground Tuesday when it released its current iteration of the NBA 2K series. With the reincarnation of NBA Live, NBA 2K15 were hoping that the software development company would amp up it game considering there is new competition in town.
Alas, to the dismay of basketball gaming fanatics, glitches and same difficulties with network play cropped up during the release. The most glaring of which is the face scan feature. The face scan is a feature available to NBA 2K15 players. It allows you to take a picture of yourself and the game will mirror a digital image of you which you can control in the "My Player" game mode.
Upon the release, a flood of complaints have already rushed through social media. Apparently, the face scan produces "Monstars" of the famed Space Jam movie instead of basketball players. Players took to twitter their compliant via #facescan and posted some of their deformed looks.
The said glitch is the latest problem to hit the NBA 2k15 game and as of press time, the gaming company has already performed modifications to address the face scan problems.
The #NBA2K15 issue with losing face scans and names of your MyPLAYER has now been addressed for PS4 and Xbox One.

However, the same complaints of user with regards to poor network conditions have cropped up again. The NBA 2K14 edition in the PS3 gaming console got massive complaints due to the said problem and the similar cases are already cropping up with the PS4 version. Gamer Informer reports that several users have already complained about difficulty of connecting to MyCareer, MyPark, and the MyPlayer store, the same problems that NBA 2K14 faced when it launched last year.
These technical problems make you wonder why Visual Concepts, the developer, is still asking players to connect to servers when most of these features are in offline mode. Sony, for its part, has acknowledged the issues and has released an official statement that it is working hand in hand with the developers to smoothen out the bugs in the game.
"We are aware of issues with NBA2K15, DriveClub, and Destiny. Engineers are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience," Sony stated per Playstation Lifestyle.
