“NBA 2K16” is set to launch four weeks from now. Recent details on the upcoming title show that the game is striving to achieve a high-level of realism this year. A new gameplay trailer showcases how this iteration assures that the game is as close as it could get to a real basketball game.
2K Sport’s take on NBA has always been known to up the ante each year by providing new features that takes advantage of the current hardware. It was even one of the first NBA or sport titles that allowed players to actually sweat in-game. Graphics-wise, 2K sports has done well, detailing the faces of players thoroughly as well as making jerseys look as close to reality. The new gameplay trailer focuses on the in-game physics in “NBA 2K16,” but the video itself looked like a parody of the entire series Polygon points out.
The developer promised that it would focus on creating a ‘living world’ in the next NBA 2K title. What Culture points out that the developer will put emphasis on incorporating more detailed interaction between players, appropriate fan reactions, and developing the unique identity of each team. What this basically means is that each time may play similarly depending on the player, but overall, each team will act differently during games. Throughout the game, players will be a witness to each team’s chemistry.
This will also put focus on differentiating each team from each other during plays. For example, a match against the Cavaliers would pit the player against a team that relies on LeBron James for scoring, especially when they are behind points. In previous titles, each team acted similarly from each other as if they had no game plan or a star player to pass the ball to.
“NBA 2K16” launches on Sept. 29 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Those who pre-ordered the game can get it five days earlier.
