“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode on its Facebook page. The photo shows an engagement ring on top of a table, with the caption, “Who’s given up on love?” Based on spoilers, it may be Steph who decides to end things with Mark. Digital Spy reports that she’ll get proof that Mark is prioritising Sonya over her. Mark insists that the accusation is not true, but Steph goes ahead and makes a big decision.
Also on Feb. 2, Karl becomes concerned about Sonya’s health as she deals with Dee’s latest bombshell, especially when Sonya’s nose begins to bleed. Meanwhile, Paige is having second thoughts about her decision to keep the truth about their baby from Jack. She concocts another story, that the real father is already committed to someone else, and she doesn’t want to ruin things for him.
'Neighbours' recap
On Wednesday, Toadie was floored to discover that he has a daughter with Dee, Willow, who seemed to have heard this news for the first time as well. Dee explained to Toadie that she was pregnant at the time of the accident. He was upset that Willow was kept in that room the whole time without a clue, and Dee insisted that she needed to sort things out with Toadie first. When he said there was plenty of time to make the revelation, Dee countered there wasn’t – she felt like just by being there, she’s ruining Toadie’s life. She also didn’t want to keep Willow’s hopes up if things would just fall apart.
Toadie had bigger issues to think of, such as how to break the news to Sonya. When he did deliver the news, Sonya was expectedly upset. Toadie tried to comfort her, but Sonya was already dealing with too much. Toadie and Sonya opened up individually to Karl and Susan, seeking advice for their current predicament. Later, Toadie met with Karl, Sonya, Steph and Mark to discuss Willow. An argument surfaced when Sonya and Mark raised doubts about the girl, hinting that it may not be Toadie’s. They wanted to have a paternity test to make sure he’s really Willow’s dad. When Sonya dropped Robinson’s to inform Dee about it, Sonya was surprised that Dee already had a paternity test kit ready and available.
Meanwhile, Mark was struggling to accept Steph’s confession that she’s attracted to Victoria Lamb (Claudia Greenstone). He confided in again on Sonya, who encouraged him to make their relationship work no matter what. Later, Mark and Steph talked about their relationship troubles and Steph begged Mark to work things out.
Elsewhere, Susan and Sheila were completely shaken and still infuriated after their ugly fight. Ben approached Xanthe about it, and they decided to put their differences aside to help two women reconcile. Ben went over to the Cannings’ house to apologise on behalf of Susan, while Xanthe did the same on behalf of Sheila. Their team-up proved to be a success and even led the two young ones to become closer again.
