Neil Patrick Harris unrecognisable as Count Olaf for Netflix series 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events'
Pictures of Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf for the Netflix series “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” have leaked online. The pictures show the actor having gone through a complete transformation for the role and he is barely recognisable.
Filming of the TV series is currently ongoing in Vancouver. Although the filming has been going on for about a month, it is only now that the fans get a chance to see what Patrick Harris looks like as Count Olaf. VancityBuzz managed to take a few behind the scenes pictures of the actor on the set.
With a long crooked nose, balding hair combed back and a goatee; Patrick Harris has been transformed into Count Olaf. The character was last seen in the 2004 movie “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” in which Jim Carrey played the role of the villain.
Similar to the movie, the plot of the TV series revolves around the wicked Count Olaf planning to take away the inheritance of three Baudelaire children. He is a master of disguise and he meets the children in different disguises; assuming new identities each time.
Count Olaf is a distant relative of the Baudelaire children. He is a theatre actor and has a troupe of loyal followers. He and his group of actors make life difficult for the children and the entire TV series focuses on how he keeps chasing them to get their inheritance, but fails each time to do them any harm.
The leaked photos from the set also show some of the other characters in the TV series. There appears to be a bald man with a scar on his face and fake hands with hooks. There are also two aged ladies who are twins.
“Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” is expected to be released in August this year. Netflix is yet to announce an exact release date.
