BMW M4 becomes a reality. While the first official pictures were released, many believe the M4 remains a concept. Looking back at BMW's releases, the concept tag does not really weigh much because the company has an affinity for producing just exactly what they envisioned the car to be. The latest 416bhp coupe appears to be just the car anyone can dream of.

BMW's M Division 4-series uses forced induction. This means the end of the outgoing E92 M3's sonorous 4.0-litre V8. For aficionados, this is not something to worry about. The latest model will be faster and more efficient. Given such features, BMW promises an enhanced driving experience.

Under the Hood

It was revealed in 2012 that the M4 will be using a 3.0 -litre, twin-turbocharged straight-six. It has 2bhp more compared to the previous v8. The latest M4 is at 416 bhp. Despite the difference, it is considerably more superior in terms of real-world commodity torque. The car reaches up to 103lb ft. Overall, the 398lb ft allows the M4 to reach 62mph is as little as 4.5 seconds. The standard top speed is restricted to 155mph.

The standard top speed details meant an updated or enhanced version of the car is already right around the corner. It seems that BMW has more plans under its sleeves. The latest series shares similar exterior parts with the cooking 4-series. The light clusters remain the same for this series. Likewise, people should watch out for a new bumper.

The bumper on this model features a racey splitter and gaping air intakes. The kidney grilles, on the other hand, bear the standard 'M4' label. The M4 carries over the cue originating from the E92 M3 series. Just like other M3s before, the roof panel is made of lightweight carbon fibre.

The photos also reveal 20in wheels. The 19s is considered the standard fit for this series just like in the M5 super-saloon. Compete with the latest M-trademark quad tailpipes, the M4 appears to be one of the slickest cars to hit the market.
