Apple will rely on its three-gadget salvo - the iPhone 5S, the iPad Mini 2 and the iPad 5 - to keep the company's cash register ringing this year and on.

Google, however, is not taking the onslaught sitting down. According to device designer Bob Freking, the internet search giant is coming up with a product lineup that squarely pits with what Apple has to offer.

Mr Freking seems convinced that Google has designed a three-pronged attack to cut away slices of Apple's overwhelming market share. The tactic failed to make a dent last year despite consumers' generally warm reception to the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.

Later this year, likely by Q4 2013, Google has a mightier chance to weaken the dominance currently enjoyed by the iPhone and iPad. The push coming from Google, according to Mr Freking, is best represented by the upcoming releases of the Nexus 5, Nexus 8 and Nexus 11.

In a new set of phone and tablet renders, the designer offers his vision of how Google's Nexus arsenal will look and behave against the iOS device juggernaut.

Nexus 5

Like in later renders to come out this year, Mr Freking's Nexus 5 is essentially a phablet in form and features. It is a 1080p handset that sports a 5-inch Full HD in True IPS+ display panel, fired up by an Adreno 330 GPU.

The muscle within is courtesy of a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip that performs at a top speed of 1.9GHz. This is the same engine that powers up the Nexus 5's camera combo of 13MP on rear and 5MP on front.

The smartphone will carry over the Nexus 4's starting price of $US299 with 16GB of storage on board.

Nexus 8

While numerous analysts came out with projections that Google is coming out with a refreshed Nexus 7 this year, Mr Freking believes it will be a Nexus 8 instead. The Google small tablet shares Nexus 5's slim and less-bezel designs, giving it less footprint despite having a larger screen size compared to the first serving - at 8-inch.

Under the sleek hood of the slate lies a quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU, with a maximum speed of 1.7GHz, working in tandem with an Adreno 320 graphic chip to liven up the tablet screen, its 1920 x 1200 resolution made possible by an IPS LCD display.

The basic model for this supposed iPad Mini 2 killer will sell beginning at $US199 with 8GB of internal memory and a camera mix of 3MP rear and 2MP front.

Nexus 11

As for Google's iPad 5 rival, Mr Freking cooked up his version of the Nexus 11 - a huge tablet with gigantic powers within. This is an absolute powerhouse tablet that screams out with a sprawling viewer at 11-inch with crystal clear video and picture rendering through a Super PLS display panel that summons up a resolution of 2560 x 1600. Not too shabby compared to the iPad 5's Retina screen.

The device's snappy operation will heavily depend on the CPU-GPU package of a 1.8GHz quad-core Tegra 4 and a 72-core NVIDIA GeForce. It will hit Google Play Store with a starting price tag of $US399 with 16GB of storage space. The snapper is 5MP on main and 2MP on secondary.

All three devices, of course, will run on the latest Android version, which could be Jelly Bean 4.3 or Key Lime Pie, depending on Google's move.
